There’s no doubt that the COVID-19 crisis is changing the way we work forever. But now that work, school, and life in general take place under the same roof, workplace transformation has got to mean Life + Work transformation. Companies adapting to COVID-19 has become a necessity for any business to thrive.
The regular workday will make the shift from 9-5 in the office to tech-based remote work, staggered schedules, and long-term social distancing measures. Fortune 500 companies and small shops alike are proving that we need to be nimble to make things work. To stay productive, though, we need nimble childcare options in the right place at the right time, too.
Since we launched Virtual MiniCamps in March, we’ve had the opportunity to partner with several forward-focused organizations to share how Virtual MiniCamps can help working parents to stay productive and connected while juggling so much at home.
We joined forces with The Salon and the Pittsburgh Technology Council in April and May to host custom schedules of MiniCamps for kids during their regularly scheduled events. MiniCamps give kids the chance to connect to their own fun, secure video conference while their parents connect to their grown-up events.
“By partnering with Flexable, we were able to make our daily webcast sessions more accessible to parents and helped to introduce an exciting new product from a member of the PTC community,” says Pittsburgh Technology Council President and CEO Audrey Russo.
Next, on Monday, May 11, Flexable is partnering with Mother’s Monday to provide a free Virtual MiniCamp during a panel discussion with our very own CEO Priya Amin on the topic of “Caregiving, COVID, and Creativity.” The panel starts at 12:30 PM EST. Fellow panelists include Mother’s Monday founder Gayatri Agnew (Walmart), Jacqueline Green (Workday), Mary Beth Ferrante (WRK/360), and Blessing Adesiya (Mother Honestly).
Schools and daycares are closed for now, but when they reopen, things will be different. It’s our mission at Flexable to make Life + Work Fit, and we’re continually innovating and finding new ways to help in this endeavor.
